We want this to be a welcoming, trustworthy community where you can track your collection, connect with other collectors, and trade with confidence. These guidelines apply to all users. By using PocketDex, you agree to follow them.
Be honest
Represent your cards and transactions accurately. Accurate listings build trust for everyone.
Be responsive
Reply to messages and offers in a reasonable time. Leaving others hanging is disrespectful.
Be respectful
Treat others the way you'd want to be treated — in messages, reviews, and public posts.
Be helpful
Share knowledge, help newcomers, and contribute to a positive and knowledgeable community.
Accurate listings: Describe your cards honestly. If a card has wear, say so. If it's lightly played, don't list it as near-mint.
Honour your agreements: If you agree to a price and arrange a meetup, follow through. Ghosting buyers or sellers damages community trust.
Be responsive: Respond to inquiries within 48 hours. If you're no longer selling, close your listing.
No fake listings: Don't list cards you don't own or have no genuine intention of selling.
No bait-and-switch: Don't advertise one card condition and deliver another. This is grounds for account action.
Seller responsibility: You are fully responsible for packing and accurately describing items if shipping. Damage from poor packing is your responsibility.
PocketDex is for everyone. We do not tolerate content or behaviour that makes people feel unsafe, unwelcome, or disrespected.
No harassment: Do not send threatening, abusive, or harassing messages to other users.
No discrimination: We do not tolerate content or behaviour that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability.
No bullying: Don't target users with negative reviews, false reports, or messages intended to harm them.
Constructive disagreement: Disagreements about card values or opinions happen — personal attacks do not. Keep it professional.
No spam: Don't flood the marketplace or community with repetitive listings, copy-paste messages, or irrelevant promotions.
No scams: Don't attempt to mislead users about card values, condition, or authenticity.
No misleading information: Don't spread false information about cards, pricing, or community members.
No counterfeit items: Listing counterfeit or proxy cards as genuine is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
No stolen goods: Don't list items that are stolen or obtained illegally.
No adult content: Keep all content appropriate for a general audience (13+).
No doxxing: Don't share private personal information about other users without their explicit consent.
Vendor accounts are held to a higher standard. In addition to all General Community Guidelines above, vendors agree to:
Accurate inventory: Only post Restock Blasts for cards you actually have in stock and available for sale.
No fake inventory: Don't post about product you don't have in order to generate interest or gauge demand.
Responsive service: Reply to customer inquiries in a timely manner. Vendor accounts that go consistently unresponsive may lose their verified status.
Honest pricing: Don't advertise bait pricing in posts and change it when customers arrive. Price changes must be communicated clearly.
Timely announcements: Keep your followers informed if plans change — events cancelled, product delayed, hours changed.
How to report: Use the “Report” button on any listing, profile, or message. Select the relevant reason and add any details that will help our team investigate.
Review process: Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24–48 hours. We may not always be able to communicate the specific outcome of a report due to privacy considerations, but all reports are taken seriously.
False reports: Submitting false or malicious reports to harass another user is itself a violation of these guidelines.
Violations are handled based on severity and history:
Warning
A formal notice for minor or first-time violations. A warning stays on your account record.
Temporary Suspension
Account suspended for a defined period (1 day to 30 days) for repeated or more serious violations.
Permanent Ban
For serious violations (fraud, harassment, counterfeit listings) or persistent repeat offenders.
Content Removal
Any content that violates these guidelines may be removed without notice at any time.
Appeals
If you believe your account was actioned unfairly, contact support@pocketdex.app with the subject line “Account Appeal”. Include your account details and a description of your situation.
